CIRCLING ARMS EXERCISE

(BUNSHIM BUP - DIVIDING YOUR ENEMYS MIND)

 

Note: start with front stance and both hands to your left side at your waist

1. AP/FRONT blocking a punch to your front - Swing arms from L to R closing your hands as they pass in front of your face (blocking the punch and grabbing the arm) and bring your hands to your R Side. Now, open your hands and swing them back to your L Side closing them as they pass in front of your face again.

2. YUP JWA WOO/RIGHT & LEFT blocking attacks from both sides - Pivot to your left, then turn your head to your R Side then pivot to face your R Side as you swing your arms to  your R Side closing your hands as they pass in front of your face bringing your hands to your R Side. Now, reverse this technique to your L Side.

3. AP-DWIT SIK HOI JEON E-BANG  1 Step Hoi Jeon forward blocking a punch to your face and pivoting to your rear - Take a slight step forward with your RF for a RF Forward Stance, then swing your arms fron L to R as you step forward with your LF closing your hands as they pass in front of your face and pivot CW 180 degrees to your rear bringing your hands to your right side. You should now be facing your original rear with your hands to your R Side and ready to block a punch to your face. Now, swing your arms from R to L blocking a punch to your now front closing your hands as they pass in front of your face as you step back with your LF pivoting back 180 degrees CCW to your original front bringing your hands to your L Side at waist level. You should now be facing your original front ready to block another punch to your face.

4. E BANG HOI JEON  2 Step Hoi Joen forward blocking a punch to your face and pivoting to your rear - Same as #3 with 2 steps - Take a step forward with your LF swinging your arms L to R as you step back with your RF in a 180 degree CW pivot/Hoi Jeon to face your rear. Now, step forward with your RF swinging your arms R to L as your step back with your LF in a CCW 180 degree pivot/Hoi Jeon. You should end up facing your original front with your RF forward.

5. 1 step forward and 2 step 180 Hoi Jeon blocking 2 attackers - Step forward with your LF (no pivot) swinging your arms L to R blocking a punch to your face pulling your opponent to your R Side bringing your hands to your R Side, then do a  2 step 180 degree CCW Hoi Jeon starting with your RF swinging your arms in an arc from R to L to end up facing your original rear with your hands to your L Side. Repeat returning to your original starting position with your RF forward.

6. 2 Step Hoi Jeon and 1 step back -  Step off with your LF for a 2 step Hoi Jeon pivoting 180 degrees CW then take 1 step back with your LF (no pivot) swinging your arms R to L. Now, repeat returning to your starting point with RF forward.

7. 360 degree 2 step Hoi Jeon and 1 step 180 degree Hoi Jeon - Step off with your LF swinging your arms from L to R for a 2 step CW Hoi Jeon (pivoting 360 degrees) to face your original front, then step back with your LF swinging your arms R to L for a 180 degree CCW Hoi Jeon to face your original rear. Now, repeat to return to your original starting point with your RF forward.

8. 360 degree 2 step Hoi Jeon, step, then 180 1 step Hoi Jeon - Step off with your LF for o 360 degree 2 step CW Hoi Jeon swinging your arms from L to R, then step forward with your LF without swinging your arms, now step forward with your RF for a 2-step 180 degree CW Hoi Jeon swinging your arms from R to L. Now, repeat these steps returing to your original starting point with RF forward.

9. 1 step, 1 step, and 2 step Hoi Jeon - Step forward with your LF swinging your arms L to R, then step forward with your RF swiging your arms R to L  followed by a 180 CW 2-step Hoi Jeon stepping forward with your LF. Repeat to return to your original starting point with your RF forward.

10. 1 step, 360  Hoi Jeon, and 180 degree Hoi Jeon - Step forward with your LF Swinging your arms L to R, then step off with your RF for a 360 degree 2-step CCW Hoi Jeon swinging your arms from R to L  followed by a 180 degree CW 1-step Hoi Jeon stepping back with your LF swinging your arms L to R.
