WRIST FREEING TECHNIQUES

Note: All techniques below are performed from a straight hand grab, specifically, RH grabbed by LH

1.  Point your RH Index Finger at his LF as you step forward with your RF pivoting your whole body CCW 180 sliding your LF behind and raise your RH to about eye level, Palm-Up, and Index Finger pointing upward.

2.  Take a short step forward with your RF bringing your RH, fingers spread and palm-down, to your hip as your step around in a 360 CCW circle ending in a fighting stance facing your opponent. (Do not bump your opponants hand during this technique)

3.  Point your RH Index Finger up drawing your RH upwards as you step forward with your RF.

4.  Spread the fingers of your RH drawing your RH upwards as you step forward with your RF.

5.  Point your RH Index Finger to your Left as you step forward with your RF pivoting your whole body 180 CCW and reverse the hand grab as you pull your hand RH behind you (always keep your hand at waist level). Step forward with your RF as you throw your RH over your head (with his wrist in your grip).

6.  Step across the front of your opponent 45 to your Left pivoting 360 CCW as you twist your arm placing your wrist into the small of your back to break free of his grasp.

7.  Grasp his L Wrist with your LH pulling his hand over your head (on your L Side) stepping forward with your RF 1/4 step pivoting CCW.

Note: If the opponent is taller than yourself you should step back with your LF.

8.  Step forward with your LF 1/4 step (do not move your body, only your foot)and point your RH Index Finger upwards in a CW motion grabbing the meaty part of his LH thumb (from underneath) with your LH at eye level. Continue the CW circle of your RH as you reverse the grab on your RH with your RH (twisting your RH wrist CCW so that the back of your RH faces you) and release the hold on his LH with your LH sliding your LH palm on the back of his LH in a CW motion until at waist level. Now step to your Rear Left (X-Step) as you pivot your whole body and feet CW placing pressure on theback of his LH  for the joint lock on his Left Wrist.

9.  Point your RH Index Finger to your Left (do not move your arm or wrist) as you step forward with your RF pivoting your whole body CCW 90 to break the grip on your RH as you reverse the grip on your RH with your LH (do not take a step with your LF until you have finished the next step). Now, grab his LH with your newly freed RH as you release the grip on his LF with your LH bringing your LH, palm-up, to your Left Side as you step back CCW with your LF twisting your upper body CCW as far as you can (LH leading the way/reading a book).

10. Step forward with your LF 1/4 step (do not move your body, only your foot) and point your RH Index Finger upwards beginning a 360 CW circular motion of your R Arm reaching for an area just above his LH Elbow with your LH just about 3/4 through the 360 circle and reverse the grab on your RH with your LH. Now, pull your opponent's arm twisting your upper body to your Left Side and quickly grab his shoulders with both of your hands throwing him down to the ground.
